A big warranty number is not enough
“10-year warranty” does not tell you what happens if the film yellows, an edge lifts, a bubble appears or road debris damages the film.

Product warranty vs installation warranty
| Type | May cover | Ask specifically |
|---|---|---|
| Film / product | Manufacturing defects, adhesive failure, discolouration under the stated terms | Who issues it and can it be verified? |
| Installation workmanship | Bubbles, lifted edges or execution faults under installer policy | How long, and is replacement labour included? |
Common exclusions to check
- Accidents, deep cuts and strong stone impacts are usually not manufacturing defects.
- Repainted panels, some plastics and trim may be treated differently.
- Harsh chemicals, pressure washing directly at edges or poor care may affect a claim.
- Some programmes require a post-install inspection or periodic maintenance.

- Are bubbles, lifted edges and reinstallation included?
- Is an inspection required after installation?
